During the late 1990’s short term missionaries Andrew Kelly and Steve Taliaferro came to Ukraine multiple times each year to minister to the children in orphanages in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. As a result, Jeremiah’s Hope was founded to expand on their ministry and to reach more children for Jesus!
Jeremiah’s Hope was, at one point, involved in evangelistic outreach programs to orphanages in Mariupol, Ivankiv and Ugligorsk. Over the years, those orphanages have been closed by the government and our work there no longer exists. However, we have begun a new orphanage outreach ministry in the small village of Vovchikov. The village of Vovchikov is located about 40 minutes from our ministry hub in Kolentsi, Ukraine. There are 22 children ranging in age from about 5 to 17 years old.
We desire for each of these children to come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and understand that the only way for them to see that is to experience relationships with Christians.
Ministry avenues we hope to develop with the orphanage in Vovchikov include:
Humanitarian Aid Distribution
Weekly Bible Studies
Quarterly Birthday Celebrations
Monthly Evangelistic Outreach (games, crafts, Bible Story, & snack)
