Food Aid for Ukraine…

Jeremiah’s Hope has started 2015 by planning to ship ONE 20 foot container of food to Ukraine to assist with feeding those who have lost everything due to the war being waged in eastern Ukraine.

The plan is to distribute food to refugees and also to pack some of the food into “Family Packs” to be sent down to eastern Ukraine and distributed to families, elderly and anyone who is “stuck” in the war zone.

The response to our plea for non-perishable food items has been OVERWHELMING!

The staff and board would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to all who have participated in the food drive.  We know we risk forgetting someone, but here want to say thank you to:  Duncanville Church of Christ (Duncanville, TX), North Davis Church of Christ (Arlington, TX), St. Sophia’s Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (The Colony, TX), Rush Elementary School (Lubbock, TX), Durham Church of Christ (Durham, OK), David Lee “Tex” Hill Middle School (San Antonio, TX), Breedlove Foods (Lubbock, TX), Mercy Response (New Orleans, LA), First Christian Church (Abilene, TX), First Baptist Church (Hamlin, TX), AbiMar Foods (Abilene, TX), the women of ACU Social Clubs – GATA, KJK & Siggies (Abilene, TX) and the dozens of individuals who gave freely of food and funds.

The original vision of ONE 20 foot container has now grown into TWO 40 foot containers which will be departing Abilene on Wednesday, February 18th for Ukraine.
